We are sad to announce that on June 27, 2022, at the age of 72, Brent Richardson Merkley of Kanata, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda; his son Alex (Natasha); his brother Dennis (late Marlene); his niece Lisa (Michael Paterson); his great-niece Kenzie; his sister Patricia (Stephen Leyland); his nieces, Stephanie and Ashley; his brother-in-law Barry Dowdall (Sandra); his nieces, Andrea and Hilary (Barra Neary); his great-niece Monica (Andrew Hardaker); his great-nephew Brooks; and his brother-in-law Robert Dowdall.

He will be remembered for his commitment and contribution to baseball in Kanata.
