She was predeceased by: her parents, Redver W. Mather of Chatham, N. B. and Beatrice Mather (Jamieson) of Sunny Brae; her husband R. Avon Dobson; and her siblings, Patricia and Redver "Ted" Mather.

She is survived by: her daughter Susan Reiter (John) of Kanata, Ontario; her granddaughters, Cathy (Lance) of Stittsville and Shelly (Crispin) of Stittsville; and her great grandchildren, Edan, Oliver, Jordan, Dexter and Archer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
