With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Robert Duncan McEwen (Kanata, Ontario), who passed away on January 25, 2022 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Reginal Richardson McEwen (Reg) and Hazel Elizabeth Ball. He is survived by : his siblings, Lynn (Debbie), Lucille Ball (Robert) and Joyce Johnson (Kerry); his children, Jonathan (Victoria) and Melissa Spanjer (Rimmy); his grandson Killian Jan Rimmert Spanjer; his son Wayne; and also Brenda Babcock-McEwen.

In memoriam donations to Verona Free Methodist Church, Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church or the Bruyère Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

“Offering our condolances to the McEwen Family on the loss of a brother, father, husband, uncle and friend. Wayne suffered for so many years but the last time we visited him (it was after his 60th Birthday), he had such a joyful countenance and talked about his garden that he once had - where hibiscus grew. He is now in God's garden - free of pain and able to move about in peace. May God's peace be with all of you.”
