He was predeceased by : his parents, Armand Gagnon and Lucia Gagnon; and his siblings, Jacqueline, Huguette and Jean-Paul.

He is survived by : his wife Claudette; his children, Tammy Gagnon (Philippe Benoit) and Daniel Gagnon of Kapuskasing; his grandchildren, Shawn and Emilia Rose; and his siblings, Jean-Jacques, René, Solange, Gilles and Réjean.
