She was predeceased by : her husband Edward; her son Ronald; her parents, John Hastings and Bertha Hastings; and her sisters, Winnifred Chappel and Edna Hastings.

She is survived by : her children, Douglas, David (Denise), Brian (Hélène), Kevin (Diane) and Valerie Silas (Marc); her daughter-in-law Diann; her grandchildren, Duane (Collin), Keith (Stacie), Joel (Natalie), Ryan, Craig, Jason (Virginia), Tania (Corey), Bryana, Brandon (Tara-Lynn), Conor (Émilie) and Kalem (Bryanne); her great grandchildren, Courtney, Jenevieve, Ethan, Keira, Elijah and Evy; and her brother Robert Hastings. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
