Donald left this world on October 20, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Hartnett; and his parents, Helen Hartnett (MacArthur) and Bill Hartnett. He is survived by: his children, Pamela of North Bay, Jamie (Kelleigh) of Peterborough and Erin of Toronto; his grandchildren, Eva, Peyton, Mikayla, Teagan, Ty and Darian; his siblings, Don Miller, Susan Medd, John Brown, Jane Mclaughlin and Laurie Turner; and his friends, Ivan Purdy and Peter Webster.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mackey Funeral Home (33 Peel St, Lindsay, ON K9V3L1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Crohn's and Colitis Society of Canada in his name online or via cheque at the funeral home.
