He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Bebbington; his siblings, Leonard Bebbington and Nora O'Brien; and his parents, John Bebbington and Agnes Bebbington.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Jim McKechnie (Patty), John McKechnie (Adele) and Sandy McKechnie (Lee-Anne); his stepgrandchildren, Alexis (Kendel), Cameron (Agatha), Aoife, Andrew, Ian, Allan, Jenna (Travis) and Marnie (Colin); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Colson, Briar, Jensen and Skye.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lindsay.
