She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Ronald Sears; her parents, Howard Yates and Florence Yates; and her son Ronnie Sears (Kelly). She is survived by: her children, Janie Alexander (Russell) and Christopher Sears (Jessica); her stepchildren, Cheryl Prince (John) and Trevor Sears (Tricia); her grandchildren, James (Cara), Sarah, Joshua, Amanda, Justin, William, Benjamin, Ronni and Cameron; and her brothers, Michael Yates (Pat) and John Yates (Lori). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Celebrations (35 Lindsay St N, Lindsay, ON K9V1T3).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation (https://foundation.rmh.org) would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made online or by cheque through the Mackey Funeral Home.
