Irene Marion Dawson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2025, at the age of 100, Irene Marion Dawson (Kemptville, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Marion Dawson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Winslow Dawson; her son Frank Dawson of Cardinal; her parents, Robert and Edith Barr (Stuart); her siblings, Iris and Bob Barr; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy of Howick, QC, George Atcheson, Cran Bockus, John Dawson, Vivian Nastase and Anne Dawson.

She is survived by: her children, Marion (Mike White) of Metcalfe, Beverly (late Micheal McLean) of Spencerville and Noreen Gilchrist of Morrisburg; her grandchildren, Grant White (Alison), Lauren (Ken Sloan), Stacey McLean (Luke Martin), Kristofor White (Patricia), Alexander McLean, Brodie (Mitch Mayer), Carly Bradford and Dawson Gilchrist; her siblings, Margaret Atcheson of Athelstan, QC, Jim Barr (Dorothy) of Franklin Centre, QC and Hugh Barr (Cathy) of Cornwall; and also, Mary Bockus of Stratford and David Dawson (Joan) of Sharbot Lake. She is also survived by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (805 Prescott St, Kemptville, ON K0G1J0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
