With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Donald McElrea (Kemptville, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Donald; his siblings, Audrey (Gerald Frost), Angus (Eleanor McElrea), Margaret Alexander, Elizabeth (Liz) and Daryl Lowry; Geertje and Leendert VanderEnde.
He is survived by: his wife Petra; his children, Greg (Robin) and Jenny (Doug); his grandchildren, Kelly (Mike), Kelsey (Nick) and Alyson (Mert); his children, Leo, Veronique, VaniaCarla, Antoine and Eeva; Jaap (Nel), Trudy (Sjaak), Margreet (Kees), Leo (Joke), Ruud (Corrie) and Astrid (San). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's United Church (400 Prescott St, Kemptville, ON K0G1J0). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. John's United Church in Kemptville.
