It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ortlieb (Kenora, Ontario), who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ortlieb to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Ortlieb; and her siblings, Frank (Mary Loroff), John (Margaret Loroff), Helen (Robert Wurm), Edith (Mike Hrabok), Katie (Arnold Bunz) and Paul (Matilda Loroff).
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Ortlieb (Joan) and Carol Bourgouin (Michel); her granddaughter Miranda (Danny Magoci); her great grandchildren, Logan, Emily and Nina of Calgary, AB; her grandchildren, Kevin Ortlieb of Port Carling, ON, Whitney and Mat Allan; her great grandchild Keira of Thunder Bay; her grandchild Ashley Bourgouin of Keewatin; and her in-laws, Helen Ortlieb of Kenora and Albertine Butcher of Amhurstberg, ON. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church (912 Superior St, Keewatin, ON P0X1C0). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Woods Cemetery.
As Mary was a longtime supporter of the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name to the Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
