With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Martin Downey of Kent Bridge, Ontario, born in Chatham, Ontario, who passed away on April 22, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Myrtle Downey (Zimmer) and Martin Downey; his parents-in-law, Rene and Margaret Vanroboys; and his siblings-in-law, Julianna Casier (Marcel), Harry Vanroboys (Mary), Oscar Vanroboys and Norman Vanroboys (Helen).

He is survived by : his spouse Shirley Downey (Vanroboys); his son Mitchell (Karen); his grandchildren, Madison and Meghan; and his sister-in-law Mary Louise Vanroboys.

In lieu of flowers donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice, P.A.W.R., the Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of One's Choice would be appreciated by the family.
