He is survived by: his son Christopher Cowan; his former spouse Lyn Barrett; his wife Christine; his grandchildren, Charles and Eve; his sister Catherine Lee Bailey (Graham); his stepchildren, Dan, Joseph (Sally), Timothy (Janice), Thomas, Shelly and Sheila; and his grandchildren, Sheila, Dylan, James (Kodie), Alana (Ryan), Megan, Julianne (Brett), Joseph Jr. and Samuel (Vlada). He is also survived by eight beautiful great grandchildren.
