He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Eckhardt and Margaret Eckhardt; his brothers, William (Bill), Edward (Cheryl) and Christopher Eckhardt; his siblings-in-law, Harold and Gayle Grossman; his nieces and nephews, Alicia, Bob Nardella, Patrick and Christine Eckhardt; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Leslie, Graham Golkin, Paul and Yael Grossman.
