He was predeceased by : his siblings, Raymond, David Cook and Shirley (John Visneskie). He is survived by : his wife Sandra (Forrest); his children, Constance S. Cooke and Richard S. G. Cooke; his grandchildren, Mason and Rowan Cooke; his brother Jim Cook; and his sister-in-law Sally Cook.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions Richards' final care and cremation has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew.
