She was predeceased by : her parents, Violet Carrol and Denis O'Callaghan; and her brothers, David and Peter Murphy. She is survived by : her husband Ian Chester; and her siblings, John Murphy and Janet Barnett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Patricia's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
