He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary "Dianne" Atkinson; his children, Angela Merritt (Bill) and Gail Atkinson; his grandchildren, Joe Merritt, Hiedi Robson and James Merritt; and his great grandchildren, Dahlia Robson and Brantley Merritt. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family.
