He was predeceased by : his wife Mary 'Evelyn Moffat of Teeswater; his parents, Clara Harriet and William Delbert Splan of Kincardine; and his siblings, John (Jack), Marjorie (Jean) and Hilda.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Janet Harrison (late Rick), Cathy Fleming (John) of Allenford, Wade Gibson (Janice) of Amberley, Glen Gibson (Rita) of Edmonton, Alberta and Mary Gibson of Kincardine. He is also survived by several grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, friends.
