He was predeceased by: his father Larry Merritt; and his brother Gord Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Angela Merritt; his sons, Joe Merritt (Heidi Robson) and James Merritt; and his grandchildren, Dahlia Robson and Brantley Merritt. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and his large extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes St, Kincardine, ON N2Z1Z5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
