He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Cecil Buckley, Robert Inglis Petrie and Gladys Petrie; his parents, Linda Petrie and Peter Petrie; his brother Matthew; his grandmother Emma Buckley; and his aunts and uncles, Louise Dal Pai (Gerry), Emma VanVliet (Rob), Janet Petrie, Cathy Dyer (Jim), Deb Waugh (Harry), Ross Petrie and David Petrie (Heather). He was also cherished by many cousins and extended family.
