She was predeceased by: her husband Stan Simkins; her parents, Norman Eastman and Meda Eastman; and her sister Marion. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Burridge (late Fred), Norman Simkins (Linda), Janice Simkins (Brian Wood) and Carolyn Simkins (John Raine); her grandchildren, Tina (Mark), Shari, Lisa (Todd), Adam (Rebecca), Jacob, Michalic (Bryce), Jed (Angela) and Sarah (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Gus, Lucas, Owen, Logan, Oliver, Brett, Blaire and Holden; and her sister Norma (late Harold). She is also survived by numerous friends and family, including her spiritual family.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Trinity United Church or Partners in Mission Food Bank in Mrs. Simkins' memory.
