He was predeceased by: his grandson Joshua Pietzarka; his parents, Donald Simpson and Rhoda Simpson; his brother Mel; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra, Doreen and James.

He is survived by: his significant other Margaret; his children, Tracey Pietzarka (Stephan) and Frank Simpson (Cathy); his grandchildren, Zachary Pietzarka, Cassie Simpson and Carter Simpson; his siblings, Bob (Anna), Marilyn, Betty and William (Eileen); and his siblings-in-law, David (Rosemary), George (Linda) and Pat. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
