She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jim Brindle; her parents, Maire Rautanen and Alfred Karu; her children, Erika Fleming (Jim), Kristina Carmichael (Don) and Ryan Wilkinson; and her siblings, Juri Karu and Marjut Nousiainen. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren.
