She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Adel Mohareb; her children, Justin (Cindy), Adrian (Melinda) and Eugene (Mahua); her grandchildren, Ayden, Samar and Elina; her parents, Mehmet Turgut Özakın and Ayşe Anise Ansari Özakın; her siblings, Selah (Gülsün), Aydin (Ayten) and Aysel (late Brian); and her friends, Turkey, Egypt and Germany. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews.
