She was predeceased by: her spouse Foster Gordon Dort; and her daughter Melinda Elaine Joyce. She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Foster (Norma), David Lewis (Laura) and Timothy Clare (Hilda); her grandchildren, Colleen Dort, Gordon Dort, Patricia Dort, Carrie MacDonald, Phillip Dort, Julie Doyle, Jessica Dort, Brandon Dort, Sandi Fitzpatrick, Nicholas Fitzpatrick and Kayla Fitzpatrick; and also Heather Anne (Kevin).

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
