He is survived by: his children, Alex (Julie), Ted (Liane), Lynne (Hugh) and Katherine; his stepchildren, Jayne (Rick) and Kirk (Karen); his grandchildren, Pauline, Ted, Olivia, Anna, Elizabeth, Emily, Max, Christopher, Rachel, Grace and Jack; and his great grandchild Ember.

His contributions to academia and his passion for teaching left a lasting impact on generations of students.
