She was predeceased by: her significant other Ronald Lyman; and her brother Glen King. She is survived by: her children, Ronald McCarthy (Lisa), Lawrence McCarthy (LeeAnn), Terrance McCarthy (Lynn) and Beverly Zegarra (Gerry); her grandchildren, Gerald, Jason, Anne-Marie, Matthew and Laura; and her great grandchildren, Liliana, Aliyah, Eva, Leandro, Alexander, Sofia and Omar.

Due to covid, Doreen will be laid to rest at a private family ceremony at Cataraqui Cemetery.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Doreen's name would be appreciated by the family.
