She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Garland and Beatrice Garland; her stepfather George Graham; her son James Cassidy; her siblings, John Garland (late Dorothy), Gordon Garland (late Myrtle), Kathleen Burley (late Harold), Bower Garland, Keith Garland and Bruce Garland (Joan); and her stepbrother Bert Graham (late Mary).

She is survived by: her husband Lorne Cassidy; her children, Cheryl Johnston (Michael) of Brockville, Dianne Pettapiece (Michael) of Burlington, Gary Cassidy of Toronto, Janet Wild of Whitby and Brian Cassidy of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Andrew Johnston, Robin Johnston (Jenna), Robert Pettapiece (Jessica), Olivia Wild and Jenna Wild; her great grandchild Henry Johnston; and her stepsisters, Elaine Leach (late Ken) and Eleanor Scott (Raymond). She is also survived by her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
