It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Myrtle Poffley (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Poffley; and her daughter Judy Ann Poffley. She is survived by: her brother George Brewer; her children, Allan Alport (late Anna), Jamie Poffley (Karen) and Kirk Poffley; and her grandchildren, Jeremy, James, Jessie, Johnny, Dylan, Amber, Jamie and Clayton. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, brother Art Brewer (Diane), many nieces, nephews.

“My fondest memories of Dorothy, we called her Aunt Dorothy, were when she would come to my grandma’s house to shop and spend time. She was hilarious, even through a child’s eyes. I remember being awe struck when I looked at the biggest TV I had ever saw at her home. I didn’t take the time to appreciate the impressive consistency of the letters she would write, or the birthday cards she never forgot to send. I hope she new she was loved by our family, by me… lighting this candle to say TY. <3”
