Douglas Matheson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Matheson in Kingston, Ontario, who passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman and Anna (Young); and his sister Evelyn Fletcher (Jim). He is survived by: his sons, Ian (Josée Touchette) of Ottawa and David (Michèle Guevara) of Toronto; his grandsons, Connor of London, U. K. and Alex (Rebecca); and his great grandchild Finnegan (S. A.) of Wharton.
