It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Purdie (Kingston, Ontario), born in Seaforth, Ontario, who passed away on June 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Elaine Purdie to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Weedmark and Muriel Helen Weedmark (Moo); and her brothers, Fred Weedmark (Carolyn) and Jack Weedmark (Colleen). She is survived by: her husband George James Purdie (Jim); her sister Betty Graham (Orville); her daughters, Jennifer Purdie, Jocelyn Purdie (Gord McRae) and Judith Purdie-Elliott (Steve Elliott); her grandchildren, Jason McCready, Matthew McCready (Catriona), Nicholas McCready (Julia), Margot King (Cal) and Erik Elliott; and her great grandchildren, Caleb and Grace McCready. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to the constraints of Covid, a memorial service will not be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sleeping Children Around The World.

“Oh, Jim, my late condolences regarding the passing of your beloved friend and wife Elaine. I met both of you through Lawn Bowling, Croquet and members of East York Historical Society. Elaine through community gardening How joyous and honoured am I that I met such a beautiful couple.
