It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Gantry Moore (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on March 10, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eric Gantry Moore to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Grace Moore; his close friend Ursula; his daughters, Kathy (Gary), Sarah (Roy) and Alison (Dan); and his grandchildren, Tyler, Cole, Jarryd, Megan, Emma, Rachel, Kenzie, Jessica and Erica.

His colleagues would remember him for his contributions to public policy, demography and health data and statistics, as a professor and later Dean of Queen's School of Graduate Studies.

“We are so sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. He was such a major presence when we were graduate students at Queen’s in the 1990s. We had the pleasure of house sitting for Barbara and Eric on a few occasions, and looking after their beloved dogs, Morton and Molson. We remember Eric as a great scholar and mentor. Above all else, however, we recall that family was his greatest source of pride and that he cherished his three daughters above all else. RIP, Eric. Catherine Nolin & Neil Hanlon”
