It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda Evelyn Sweetman (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice John Sweetman; Herbie. She is survived by: her children, Marlene Sweetman (Willy), Maureen Sheldrick (Dave), Rick Sweetman (Leanne) and Sean Sweetman (Sue); her grandchildren, Jessie Cernos, Jason Cernos, Melissa Maxam, Chase Sheldrick, Kasey Sweetman, Cole Sweetman, Shane Sweetman, Shamus Sweetman and Shea Sweetman; and her siblings, Maise, Doreen and Marilyn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Glenhaven Memorial Gardens (2563 Division St, Glenburnie, ON K0H1S0). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home, Celebration Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3).
