He is survived by: his significant other Catherine Gleason of Kingston; his sisters, Frances Shepherd (Bill) and Helen Clarke (Bill); his nieces and nephews, Robert Shepherd (Karen), Chris Shepherd, John Shepherd, Carolyn Oprzedek (Wally), Colleen Shepherd (Eric), Stacey Clarke and Aaron Clarke (Hiromi); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jocelyn, Sophie, Julia, Kate and Taiga.
Donations in George's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Society, his favourite charity.
