With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harland Melvin Smiley (Kingston, Ontario), born in Shawville, Québec, who passed away on April 12, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Smiley; and his parents, Audrey Smiley and Henry Smiley. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey (Tricia Dewar), Janet (Robert MacLean) and Kevin; his grandchildren, Jenna MacLean, Ryan MacLean (Melissa), Sara Smiley, Dominic Sbardella and Taguen Smiley; his great grandchild Reese MacLean; his daughter Kim Wright (John); his granddaughter Madison Wright; and his sisters, Embyle West, Margery Mullen and Sadie Gilpin (Lindy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Suite 500-55 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario M4V 2Y7 or charity of your choice.
