He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Charles Purney and Anastasia Purney; and his siblings, Connie Hirst and Robert Purney.
He is survived by: his children, James Purney (Cathy), Ann Dochstader (Gerry) and Linda Dalton (Ron); his grandchildren, Nicole Erikson (Blake), Sean Purney, Adam Dillon (Evelyn), Sara Dillon (Ben Serazin), Lisa Garvey (Chris), Kevin Dochstader (Cindy), Michael Dalton (Angela) and Meghan Dalton (Bryan Moloughney); his great grandchildren, Georgia, Christopher, Trae, Aaron, Owen, Aiden, Reid, Cole and Wes; and his brothers, Joshua Purney (May) and Arthur Purney.
