She was predeceased by: her spouse Dr. H. M. Mac Smith; her grandson Scott Wickett; her parents, William McFarland and Carmalita McFarland; and her sibling Merle (Agnes).

She is survived by: her children, Elaine Dunn (Frank) of Stayner and David Smith of Brampton; her granddaughter Stephanie Wickett; and her siblings, Basil (Joan), Cyril McFarland and Audrey McKenzie. She is also survived by her many cousins, friends.
