He was predeceased by: his siblings, Myrna Steary and Lloyd Standen; his grandson Zack; and his parents, Alfred Standen and Mabel Standen.

He is survived by: his spouse Jane Standen; his children, Jeff (Jennifer), Kerri (Roger) and Viki (Nathan); his grandchildren, Emily, Sara, Matthew, Mackailah, Katalin, Natalin and Maxamus; and his siblings, Malcolm, Earl, Floyd Standen and Janice Turgeon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.

As expressions of sympathy donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Renal Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
