She was predeceased by: her husband Sheldon; her son Clifford; her son-in-law Cecil Murray; and her granddaughter-in-law Kym Murray. She is survived by: her children, Judy Phillips (Allan), Stella McWhirter (George) and Kenneth (Roxanne); her grandchildren, Jason Murray, Jamie-Lynn Murray, Brooke Phillips-Janisse (James) and Bradley Phillips (Misty Knapp); and her great grandchildren, Breeanna, Hannah, Marley, Aelwyn and Eli.

In Irene's memory, donations to the Kingston Humane Society would be deeply appreciated by the family.
