He was predeceased by: his parents, David Dishart and Sarah Dishart (Wells); his wife Frances (Matheson); his parents-in-law, Vera and William Matheson; his siblings, Helen Winkie (Sam), David (Anna), Donald (Jeannie), June Noble (Robert), Douglas and Stewart; his son-in-law Michael McAfee; and his siblings-in-law, John Shane, Theresa Dishart, Robert Crossman and Jan Matheson.

He is survived by: his children, Linda, Karen and Kim (Debbie); his siblings, Mary Albertson (Lorne), Elizabeth Shane and Robert Dishart; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Crossman and Thomas Matheson. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
