He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Loyst and Patricia Loyst; his brother John Loyst (Sarah Mitchell); and his nieces and nephews, Andrew and Ashley Loyst. He was also cherished by his sisters–in-law, Aunts, Uncles and cousins as well as special friends.

“Thinking of you Stanley,Patricia, John & Sarah during this sad time. I lived beside you folks on Fergus Street in the late 80's and Jay was such a welcoming neighbour when we moved in. We had many a front porch chats and after I moved every time I saw him around town he remembered me and had the biggest smile on his face while we caught up. He was such a bright light to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Cherish all those amazing memories. Big Hugs....Michele Cole”
