He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Vandenbelt; his parents, Arnoldus and Antonia; and his brothers, Arnold and Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Phil, Tanja and Tara (Ryan); his grandchildren, Kali, Matt and Alex; and his siblings, Johanna, Case, Tony, Toos and Herman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
