He was predeceased by: his parents, Mordy Swerbrick and Edna May Swerbrick; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Palmer (Betty). He is survived by: his wife Freda; his son Doug (Jennifer); his granddaughter Kate; and his brother-in-law Ed Etmanski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
