John Lowther Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Lowther (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Lowther to pay them a last tribute.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Amy Sue. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Lowther; his son Matt (Raquel); his nephew Kath; Jim Davidson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cataraqui Cemetery (927 Purdy's Mill Rd, Kingston, ON K7M3N1). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kingston Yacht Club (1 Maitland St, Kingston, ON K7L2V3).
