He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Harman and Gwen Harman. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Amanda (Mike), Jeffrey (Virginia) and Kaitlin (Taylor); his grandchildren, Breandan, Micheal, Christian, Addilin, Aeden, Fynnley, Gwen and Eslie; his siblings, Jeff (Shara) and Cathi (Dominic); and his mother-in-law Irene Spencer. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Autism Ontario, in Mr. Harman's memory.
