She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Asselstine; and her siblings, Mary Brindle, Everett Garrison, Doug Garrison, Lionel Garrison and Lois Pretty.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Ferguson (late Clint), Marie Parslow (Bruce), Carol Lyon (Kevin), Cindy Cummings (Rory) and Paul Asselstine (Tammy); her grandchildren, Tammy Piirainen (Ernie), Jason Piirainen (Shannon), Candice Lyon, Shaun Lyon (Shannon), Andrew Parslow (Maggie), Laura Parslow, Jennifer Asselstine (Barry), Eric Asselstine (Trish), Scott and Christopher Asselstine; her great grandchildren, Evan Piirainen (Lacey), Chantel Clancy (Nathan), Dakota Clancy (Madison), Milo, Luca Lyon and Anthony Asselstine; and her great great grandchildren, Julisa, Alexus, Trinity, Bella, Mollie and Allie.
