He is survived by: his wife Tara Oberai; his children, Anjali Oberai (Mike Cotterill) and Sumit Oberai (Marcia McLean); his grandchildren, Aysha, Sunil, Maya, Kiran and Nikhil; his nieces, Archana Malik and Namita Potluri; and his sister-in-law Kulsum Rashid. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family.
