He was predeceased by: his son Joshua; his parents, Ella Brown and Robert Brown; and his sisters, Alta and Bobbi.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Debbie Batchilder; his children, Rhanda Brown (Aaron) and Alex Brown; his stepchildren, Ryan O'Neill (Julia) and Sarah O'Neill (Cohen); his grandchildren, Brady (Janelle), Van, Sophia and Lawrence; his great grandchild Hensley; his siblings, Larry Brown (Ann), Carla Rodgers (Hazen) and Margo Brown; his brother-in-law Bob Shannon; and his friend Chris. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
