He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Long and Muriel Long; his significant other Cathy (Nee Joyce); his son John; his siblings, Robert (Linda), Clint and Julie; and his brother-in-law Robert Joyce. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.

The family wishes that any donations be made to South Frontenac Community Services.
