He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth McDonald and Mary McDonald; and his sibling Donald (Agnus). He is survived by: his wife Faye; his children, Matt (Lisa), Ian (Rebecca) and Gail (Michael); his grandsons, Lucas and Ethan; and his siblings, Kathleen (Peter), Ken (Mary), Hugh (Roberta), Gord (Shirley), Ann (Glen), Glen (Carol) and Joe (Pat).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Wolfe Island or the Wolfe Island Fire Department.
